deleting the Oblivion folder in steamapps (which deletes all installed mods, too),

Like Minari99 says, completely uninstalling and then reinstalling Oblivion should fix all problems (except that savegames might become unusable, unless you re-install all mods active when the savegames were created, too. Or, if possible, is there another way to fix this?įirst of all: I've never used Vortex, and I have no idea if it can be used to fix any problems. But now I also noticed that when I uninstall the game to kind of force it to add the DLCs back, there's still files left in my file explorer in the steamapps folder.Īt this point I think a hard restart would be the best and I want to know if it would be good to completely delete those files still left on my pc (even though I uninstalled the game) cause they aren't empty. I assume some files that are needed now got replaced after I installed the mod, since some of it had to be done manually. I even tried to go into older saves where I had the DLCs just to see if they weren't loading into the new game somehow, but they were missing - nothing but yellow squares and npcs falling from the sky. I tried manually removing and adding the DLCs again from the tray after that, that also didn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again, that didn't work. Now I tried to make a new game and none of the DLCs are loading into the game - not Shivering Isles or the Knights of the Nine. After it finally did, I noticed the Knights of the Nine DLC was missing from the game I loaded it into.Īfter finishing that mod however, I didn't want it anymore and removed it via Vortex. I installed Kvatch Rebuilt a few weeks ago and it took a lot to get that mod to work.
